Chief Client Officer
With a rich tenure spanning over three and a half decades in the auto auction industry, David Diedrich’s career is both impressive and diverse. A Minnesota native, David developed a love for winter sports and the great outdoors. His journey in the auction world started early, earning his education at the University of Minnesota, Duluth, while working through various auction types, from estate to art. David’s foundational role in sales at Northstar Auto Auction in Minneapolis allowed him to dive deep into auction operations, driving significant growth in dealer and bank consignments. His talent and expertise took him to prominent positions at ADT Auctions and later as Assistant General Manager at Arena Auto Auction in Chicago, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the auction’s annual sales.
David’s strategic move to the auto salvage auctions as General Manager at IAA’s Phoenix location marked another successful chapter, with innovations that significantly boosted unit value. After a brief stint as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, the allure of the auto auction industry called him back, leading to a pivotal national sales role with ADESA Auctions. Here, his influence was profound, managing over sixty national accounts for more than two decades. Now, with Dealers Auto Auctions under David Andrews, David has ascended to VP of National Sales and later promoted to Chief Client Officer, expanding the company’s physical and digital presence and enriching their marketing strategies.
Outside the bustling world of auto auctions, David is a family man, celebrating twenty-three years of marriage with his wife Debbie in Carmel, Indiana, and enjoying time with their children and grandchildren. His dedication extends to his community, where he leads Boy Scouts fundraising and gives back as a licensed auctioneer at charity events. His professional journey mirrors a commitment to growth, community, and leadership that is nothing short of inspiring.
